We Are Moving!

Oh hooray! After five years of living in the same home, we have found a new one. We really want a swimming pool, because it's so dang hot here, and we noticed we were paying the same amount of rent as some that had a pool. So one day, Dave, me and our good friend Mariya, were eating lunch at a Turkish cafe, and she asked us if we still wanted to move and needed a roommate. Well we haven't had a roommate in so many years, but we love her, so we said why not. We found a house pretty close to the one we are in, and we got approved! The house is so beautiful. It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, formal dining room, and a pool. And the best news of all, is we will be paying less than this house because of the roommate! I am so excited, and overwhelmed because I have so much packing and cleaning to do, and Dave's gonna do what he can but he goes away for a month on Saturday, which leaves alot of it up to Mariya and I. Plus Kayla starts school on the same day we move in which is July 27th. But we have until the 15th to be out of this house. So I've been spending all my time packing, throwing out junk, and working. I think we are gonna have a garage sale next weekend for sure. We have so much stuff that has accumulated over the years. I'm sure it will all work out, but I can't wait till it's over with, and I'm jumping in my pool!

                                                            Don't worry, I'm still here!

I know, I know. I haven't written in a long time.  Not too much has been going on worth blogging about, but I should still say hello once in a while.  So we had Mikayla's party on the 20th   of  February, and it was pretty awesome.  I'll post pictures next post, but it was fun.  Josiah came over and kindly set up the tent which was more like a house, in my livingroom.  I had to move my coffee table, loveseat, and various other items for it to fit.  It was massive.  I bought it in the summertime, in the hopes we would go camping, but we never did, so I had never seen it set up. But wait til you see the pictures.  Hannah made and brought over the cutest and most delicious cake ever.  I saw the pictures she posted for her blog, and I'm glad you all got to see it cause it was great.  All the girls wanted to have a piece of the fluffy grass.  We played scavenger hunt with flashlights that I bought each of the girls that I put their names on, in the backyard.

The had to find fake leaves, pumpkins, and acorns.  I divided them in two teams.  They played over and over again and loved it.  They stayed up until about 3 in the morning talking very loudly and laughing in the tent.  I loved every bit of it.  Girls are so much fun at that age.  The gossip I got to hear had me  laughing so hard.  Anyway,  besides that we went to the zoo this past Saturday.  We tried to go to Desert Botanical Gardens but a show they were having had them too full, and they asked us to come back another time, so the zoo it was.  The weather here has been amazing. In the eighties everyday.  This is why I live here I remind myself.  It's just so beautiful, you don't want to be in the house.  Which is why I haven't been.  I took kayla and her friend to the park the other day, and laid under a tree while they tried unsuccessfully to sell jewelry they had made.  I told them it didn't sell because the economy is so bad.  They were so disappointed.  We'll try again another time.  Now I must run. Dave's at school, and I'm preparing  tilapia, carrots, mashed potatoes with garlic butter sauce, and a salad.  Kayla made angel food cake with whipped cream and strawberries. I'm starving.  Can't wait to eat.  I'll write more later, and post some pictures.

                                                      HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Happy Valentine's Day everybody!  I love you all!  How can you not love a day about loving people?  And this time of year I really love because it's the month my favorite Valentine was born.  It just occurred to me that a decade ago I was four days away from giving birth! I can't believe my Mikayla's almost ten years old!  I can't believe I'm that old!  It seems like just yesterday.  So anyway, Mikayla just went to her first dance last night at her school.  A Valentine's dance.  She went with a friend,  but i teased her about dancing with boys, to which she told me that boys are gross.  Hopefully she'll keep that feeling for a while.  Afterwards she spent the night over, so Dave and I got some alone time.  We were watching tv, and I was like "I'm hungry".  So we jumped in the car at almost ten at night to go across the street to "Valle Luna", a yummy Mexican restaurant.  We got so disgustingly stuffed, but it was good.

Mikayla got home this morning, and we gave her her gift, a stuffed girlie dog, and some candy.  She was delighted like she always is when she gets anything.  I'm planning her party still.  It's going to be an indoor campout.  Josiah has kindly offered to come help set up a big tent inside my house on the day of the party. And his girls are coming to sleepover too.  Kayla is super excited that her cousins can come.  And Hannah is making  a beautiful campout cake for Kayla.  I was thrilled when she said she'd do it, since her cake's kick butt.  So thanks again Hannah.  The parties gonna be a blast.  There's nothing I like more than planning a party.  I go all out.  But anyways,  now Dave and I get to go to the NBA all stars game with his brother and a few friends out in Phoenix for practically free.  His brother had extra tickets.  I love basketball, so this should be fun.  I'll let you know.  I hope all of you have a great love day, and do something nice for everyone you love!

Another night at Chandler Regional Hospital

So  I haven't wrote in a couple of days.  On Thursday I was having a little breathing trouble during the day, coughing, and short of breath.  But it wasn't that bad until nighttime.  I was having more trouble, but I was tired so I went to lie down in bed around 10.  I couldn't fall asleep because I could not breathe.  I called Dave in the room and asked him to hook up my breathing machine for me.  I took 2 doses of albuterol via the machine, but it still wasn't working.

I started to panic as I usually do, when this happens.  Not being able to breathe is the worst.  Finally, after sitting on the couch trying my hardest to calm down and catch my breath, I couldn't take it anymore and asked Dave to call the ambulance.  The ambulance because I have insurance, and when you can't breathe waiting in the hospital seems like eternity.  About 3 minutes later they arrived, like 5 of them.  I love paramedics. A bunch of handsome men in uniform rushing to your side, taking the best care of you.  They started a breathing treatment on me, then put me in the bed and wheeled me to the ambulance.

There they started my IV and I couldn't even talk I was in such bad condition.  They kept asking me questions, but I couldn't answer them.  When I got to the hospital, they pumped magnesium through my IV, followed by like 5 more breathing treatments,  and a chest X-ray.
Then lots of pain meds for my chest pain and severe headache due to the strain of breathing and the coughing.  Now this may sound weird, but I love the hospital.  There's just something about the nurses and friendly doctors,  running to your every request, and the genuine care. Like "hunny let me get you a warm blanket." " how you feeling dear? What can I get you?"  I love it. I don't like feeling sick, but I love watching the action, and feeling so cared for.  It's very comforting when your not feeling well.  It's like you know you are going to be leaving feeling a hundred times better.

The pain meds plus it being almost 4 in the morning, and watching tv, put me to sleep, and then the doctor came in with some prescriptions, and released me.  I felt so much better.  Dave had to wake up sleeping Kayla and they came to get me.  The thing is, I've had so much trouble with this asthma and I don't get it.  I've been to the hospital several times, I've even had to stay for 2 nights there before.  I take advair, which is a preventative, plus an inhaler aas needed.  I just think Az Is so dusty, and the air quality is so bad, and I' m just so sensitive to it.  But anyway, I'm better now, and the drama is over for the time being.

Now it is Saturday and Dave's at school, and I'm home.  Kayla slept over one of her girlfriends houses last night, and I picked them both up and took them to the lake, and then the park.  Now they are playing here.  It is super chilly and windy for this time of year, especially since it's been so sunny lately.  I kind of like it.  I think for Valentine's weekend Dave's taking us to Christopher Creek, some cabins outside of Payson. Can't wait to get out into nature, and get away from city life, if only for the weekend. Plus Kayla's birthday's coming up, and I'm trying to plan her slumber party i'm hosting. Should be fun.  Hope everyone's doing well and having a good weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA!

Today is my dad's Birthday! He's now turning 35 finally! Just kidding. My dad will always hold a very special place in my heart for many reasons. He's the one to give me my nickname Big Eyes". He has taught me so many valuable lessons in life, and literally saved my life on a few occasions. I love him, no matter what struggles we have been through. I look up to him in so many ways. Dad, I hope you have the happiest birthday. You are always in my thoughts, and I love you so very much. PS. Mikayla and Dave wish you a happy birthday and love you also.

                                                              Yoga and more Yoga

That's right. Last week I went to my favorite yoga studio, and got another membership. The whole month of January they were having a special 28 day challenge.  You pay $59 and have 28 days from the time you sign up to go to as many classes as you can.  I thought that was a great deal, and I wanted to get  back into yoga, so I signed up.  So far I've gone every day but one.  I love it.  I never feel so alive as when I've completed a class.  I feel it's gonna bring me the balance I so desperately need in my life.  Not to mention it's a great workout.  So that's what's been on my mind lately.  I'm going again to a relax class tonight at 7:30.  Can't wait.  Today after I pick up Kayla from school, I'm going to surprise her and take her to "Hotel for Dogs", a movie she's been asking to see since it came out.  She'll be so excited.  Besides that and my class, I guess that's all that's going on today.  I live a pretty relaxing life. I love it!
