                                                            Don't worry, I'm still here!

I know, I know. I haven't written in a long time.  Not too much has been going on worth blogging about, but I should still say hello once in a while.  So we had Mikayla's party on the 20th   of  February, and it was pretty awesome.  I'll post pictures next post, but it was fun.  Josiah came over and kindly set up the tent which was more like a house, in my livingroom.  I had to move my coffee table, loveseat, and various other items for it to fit.  It was massive.  I bought it in the summertime, in the hopes we would go camping, but we never did, so I had never seen it set up. But wait til you see the pictures.  Hannah made and brought over the cutest and most delicious cake ever.  I saw the pictures she posted for her blog, and I'm glad you all got to see it cause it was great.  All the girls wanted to have a piece of the fluffy grass.  We played scavenger hunt with flashlights that I bought each of the girls that I put their names on, in the backyard.

The had to find fake leaves, pumpkins, and acorns.  I divided them in two teams.  They played over and over again and loved it.  They stayed up until about 3 in the morning talking very loudly and laughing in the tent.  I loved every bit of it.  Girls are so much fun at that age.  The gossip I got to hear had me  laughing so hard.  Anyway,  besides that we went to the zoo this past Saturday.  We tried to go to Desert Botanical Gardens but a show they were having had them too full, and they asked us to come back another time, so the zoo it was.  The weather here has been amazing. In the eighties everyday.  This is why I live here I remind myself.  It's just so beautiful, you don't want to be in the house.  Which is why I haven't been.  I took kayla and her friend to the park the other day, and laid under a tree while they tried unsuccessfully to sell jewelry they had made.  I told them it didn't sell because the economy is so bad.  They were so disappointed.  We'll try again another time.  Now I must run. Dave's at school, and I'm preparing  tilapia, carrots, mashed potatoes with garlic butter sauce, and a salad.  Kayla made angel food cake with whipped cream and strawberries. I'm starving.  Can't wait to eat.  I'll write more later, and post some pictures.

Amanda, you crack me up. I love how you savor and enjoy life. I also loved your comment about the girls' necklaces not selling because of the economy. Good one! (and probably true!) Can't wait to see pics!
